What is Triptico?

Triptico is a collection of interactive resources which enable imaginative educators to create engaging learning for their classroom or workplace.

Creating, saving, adapting and sharing interactive learning content is easy with Triptico.

Who uses Triptico?

Educators in schools and organisations all over the world use Triptico.

It is very easy to create interactive learning in any language, for any subject and for any level of learner.

Are the resources easy to use?

Yes - and you can learn more by viewing tutorials and blog posts, running the sample activities and by joining one or more of the supportive Triptico groups.

Which languages can be used with the resources?

The resources can be used with a huge number of different languages. You can also change the font to best suit the language / learners you are working with.

Can I create my own activities?

Of course - with Triptico you can create your own activities, for whichever topic, in whichever language and for any age or level of learner that you like.

You create and share interactive learning resources which perfectly match the requirements of the students in your classroom.

You can even ask your students to create activities of their own: a great way to revise a topic!

Can I save the activities that I create?

Yes. Activities are saved to the Triptico Cloud - this means that you can sign in to your account anywhere in the world and access your activities immediately.

Can I edit an activity that I have saved?

Yes. It is easy to edit activities that you have created.

You can replace the original file with your edited version or give the activity a new file name in order to keep two copies (for example, you could edit an activity in order to make it more challenging for a certain group of students and save this as a new file).

Can I share activities that I have created?

Yes. With the click of a button, you can share your activities with other Triptico users. You can also publish activities to the web and create / join different groups - this makes sharing activities, ideas and support even easier.

Can I edit activities that colleagues have shared with me?

Yes - you can edit the activity however you like. Your colleague's original file will not be affected.

Can I use more than one resource at the same time?

Yes. You can use as many resources as you like. Combining multiple resources can lead to really innovative ideas for teaching and learning!

Can I access new resources as they are created and added to the site?

Of course - as a subscriber, you will have instant access to all new resources and features that are added to the Triptico website.

Is Triptico free?

You can sign up for a free Triptico account on our home page. Your free account will give you a free trial of Triptico Plus. You can then decide if you would like to subscribe or simply use your account to access the free resources.

(Note: the ‘Subscription’ questions below will be helpful to people wishing to learn about the huge discounts available to organisations purchasing multiple subscriptions.)

Some of my Triptico files are saved as text files - can I still use them?

Yes, you can. If you scroll down to the bottom of the 'My Saves' page then you should see an option to 'Import from Text File...' Click the 'Browse' button and select the file that you would like to upload to the cloud.

Note: if your saved file is from an old version of 'Word Magnets' then you can use the following little app to access your activity: Old Word Magnet File Uploader.

You will know if your activity is an old Word Magnet file as, if you click to open it in a text editor, it will be a long line of numbers, commas and words.

I bought a subscription for the old website / app - will it work with the new website?

Of course - and anything that you saved to the Triptico Cloud will be instantly available to you via the new site too.

How long will my free trial last?

Each free trial lasts for 7 days. At the end of this period, you can continue to use your account to sign in and access the free resources or subscribe in order to continue using the premium content.

What is the difference between a free user and a subscriber?

Unlike free users, subscribers can access all of the Triptico resources and make the most of the exciting new features on the website.

Free users can save to the 'Triptico Cloud' and share activities, but they are only able to access activities created with the free resources.

I have subscribed and signed in to the site - but the resources say I am not logged in. Why?

Check that cookies are enabled on the computer you are using. If the Triptico site is blocked from using cookies, it may not be possible to keep you logged in to the site.

How long does a subscription last?

A subscription lasts for a full year.

Do you offer refunds?

Of course: we offer a 30 day 'no quibble' refund to all subscribers. After your refund, you will still be able to retain your account details in order to access our free content.

How do I subscribe?

You can do this from the home page or at any point during your free trial.

During your free trial:

Once you have signed in to your account, you will see a section called 'My Details'.

This section allows you to manage your account and upgrade or extend your subscription.

Do I have to subscribe?

No - although your support will help us to continue to grow and improve the website and resources for everybody!

If you would rather not subscribe, simply use your account details to access the free resources.

How much does a subscription cost?

Prices are displayed in a number of different world currencies and payments are processed securely by PayPal.

If your preferred currency is not supported by PayPal then please contact us and we will help.

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

What happens if I decide not to renew my subscription?

If your subscription expires, you will still be able to sign in and access the free resources. Your activities will not be deleted, although premium activities will be unavailable if you decide to continue as a free user.

You can extend your subscription at any time by visiting 'My Details' and clicking 'Extend'.

Do you offer discounts for purchasers of multiple subscriptions?

Yes - there are tremendous savings to be made by purchasing multiple subscriptions.

You will also be given an 'admin account' - this allows the manager of the subscriptions to change usernames, reset passwords and so on.

What if I leave a school or organisation which purchased a subscription for me? Will my activities be lost?

No. You can transfer your saved activities to a new account.

Privacy Policy / GDPR

Do you store credit card details or share customer details with any 3rd parties?


We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

GDPR: What personal data is required to create a Triptico account?

We ask for your name and an email address when you create a Triptico account.

We send an initial email with a link to enable you to activate your account and will send occasional emails with important information relating to major changes to the site and / or the status of your account. We also ask that you create your own unique username and password to access the site.

This information is stored on a secure Amazon S3 server and has never been and will never be shared with or sold to third parties.

GDPR: Can I edit or delete the personal data held by Triptico?

You can view and edit the personal data we hold (your name and email address) at any time by signing-in to the site and clicking the ‘My Details’ tab.

If you would like your account and associated data to be deleted from our server then please contact us.

Is there a Triptico newsletter?

Yes, we have a newsletter which is managed by MailChimp.

You can sign-up by clicking here and you can opt out at any time.

The Website

How do I access my Triptico account?

Enter your username and password at the top of the site and press 'Sign In'.

If you do not have an account, you can set one up for free or purchase a subscription on the home page.

Once signed in, you can browse your activity feed; open the resources; open, share, edit and manage your saved activities; interact with groups; update your details and so on.

What is the 'Activity Feed'?

Your 'Activity Feed' displays lots of information to help you to make the most of Triptico.

For example, you will be notified when new blog posts are added; you will be notified when something new is posted to a group that you belong to; you will be notified when your friends have created new activities and so on.

How do I create a new group?

In your 'My Details' section you will see a button to allow you to manage groups. Here you can create new groups or leave existing groups.

You are automatically added to the 'Triptico Support Group' and this is an excellent place to look for support. You can ask and answer questions - or decide to leave the group if you like.

New subscribers are also added to the 'Tutorials' group and receive updates in their activity stream. Again, you can choose to leave or rejoin this group whenever you like.

Who can join a group that I have created?

Anybody. Simply invite them and they receive a notification in their activity stream.

You could create a group for your whole school, for a department or for teachers all over the world to join and share ideas / activities.

Groups can be linked to a particular subject, a particular aspect of learning, a particular age group and so on. Groups can also be informal - places for teachers of any subject to share ideas and activities.

Technical Questions

Can I access Triptico on my home computer?

Yes. You can access your Triptico account anywhere and create / save and load activities.

Do I need an internet connection to use the resources?

You need an internet connection in order to sign in to the website and launch the resources. Once an activity is open, an internet connection is no longer required (unless you wish to save or load a new activity to or from the cloud).

Where has the Triptico app gone?

The Triptico app has been replaced by this new website.

This makes things much easier as there is nothing to install or update.

If you have already installed the app then you are free to continue to use it. However, it will no longer be supported or updated with the latest resources.

Do I need to install anything?

No. There is nothing to install.

Simply visit the Triptico website and sign in with your username and password.

I have forgotten my username and / or password. What can I do?

Please click the ‘Forgotten Password’ link to retrieve your account information or contact us for help.

Can I change my username and / or password?

Yes - sign in to the site and click ‘My Details’.

Do I need an interactive screen to use Triptico?

The Triptico resources are very effective when used with an interactive screen, but this is not essential. The resources will work with touch-screens, projectors, desktop / laptop computers and so on.

I have accidentally deleted a saved file - what can I do?

There is a 'Show Deleted Saves' checkbox on the 'My Saves' tab.

Clicking this will allow you to view all of your deleted files and folders. You can restore any that were deleted in error.

Do the resources work on tablet devices?

The resources will work on many different types of devices - although not the iPad (yet).
